What does EkamOS do for a PG?
It keeps every tenancy with its bed, plan, status, move-in date and next billing date; raises rent invoices; records the security deposit, deductions and refund; tracks tenant documents and police verification; and gives each tenant a private link to their tenancy and invoices.
Does EkamOS do police verification for me?
No. EkamOS keeps each tenant’s police verification form and its status on the tenancy, so you can see whose is missing. The verification itself is still done through your local police process.
Can rent invoices be raised automatically?
Yes, if you switch automatic invoicing on. EkamOS then raises rent invoices on schedule, as drafts to review or issued directly. It is off until you turn it on.
Who can deduct from a deposit or issue a refund?
Only the owner. Staff can see the tenancy and the deposit, but deductions and refunds are owner-only, checked on the server as well as in the app.
Can tenants pay rent online?
Invoices can be paid online through Razorpay when it is switched on for your account. Automatic rent collection through UPI AutoPay is on the roadmap and not available yet.
Does EkamOS send rent reminders on WhatsApp?
Not yet. You can connect your own WhatsApp Business account for messages and automations, but rent reminder campaigns are not live.
